Anyone watching eurovision this year? How is it?
n
Yeah I'll be buying in booze and snacks and watching it with the wife and daughter. ๐Ÿ˜„

First year/time watching it last night. The semi part two was a fun ride. Hopefully Discord spoiler text works in slack. || The UK had one of my subbed youtubers representing them, romania was a wild ride for the stage work, norway reminded me of a Norwegian Freddie Mercury. Luxembourg was just sweet. ||

So... what did you think of the final? I had Bulgaria earmarked as a potential winner, thought it was pretty fair result. 1 point for the UK, well, it's not null points so ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ Still not sure why Israel was allowed whilst Russia is banned ๐Ÿคจ

I scored 6/8 in our group based on my predictions where everyone would place. I wish I could say I'm surprised slop/memes scored so highly. The UK never gets a good rating unfortunately ๐Ÿ˜ž
n
To be fair it was a pretty crappy song ๐Ÿคญ

Hey now. I've been following look mum no computer for ages.
n
does that make it better? ๐Ÿคฃ

Obviously. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Who was your favorite act overall?
n
Tough one that, not sure I could say. Liked Bulgaria, Moldova couple others I cannot even recall which country they were. Pretty typical for me to consume the event and move on with little lasting memory! ๐Ÿ˜€ You?
c
Fair enough. My top 5 were UK (I'm a bit biased), Norway, Ukraine, Czechia, Greece. Didn't really care for Moldova. Glad to see them finally scoring well given the fewer resources they had compared to other countries.

The problem with ours, (UK), to me is that it was a "gimmicky Eurovision" song. The song that came second to Ukraine was not like that and actually rather good. Any other year and I feel sure we would have won. I should say though, I don't really care, I just find it a fun thing to watch and enjoy seeing different countries when they do the intros ๐Ÿ˜„
