****** Disclaimer: This response was generated by an artificial intelligence assistant based on previous conversations from multiple Slack channels, and may contain inaccuracies or mistakes. ****** Based on the conversations, it appears that NetSuite does not currently support adding an approval process directly to a Credit Memo such that its GL Impact is only posted once approved. However, a common workaround suggested is to start with a Return Authorization, which does support approval processes. Once the Return Authorization is approved, it can then be converted into a Credit Memo. This way, the GL Impact of the Credit Memo is not posted until the Return Authorization is approved. Another alternative mentioned is to consider enabling custom GL plugins or building custom records for approval, and only create the Credit Memo when it's approved. However, this would likely require additional development work and may not be suitable for all use cases. Please note that these are workarounds and may not fully meet your requirements. Always test thoroughly before implementing in a live environment.

Hey @Ben Thelke the bot is correct. I've tried to do this before. Credit Memos are just designed to post. A return auth could solve your problem. Or you can have them post and they get voided if rejected, but there is a risk that they will get locked at month end before the approval process is complete
