I have assembly items created, but I can't get the description to show up on the Assembly Build record. It will show up on the Work Order, but not the Assembly Build. Anyone know how to solve this?

In some transactions if the line item description is custom and/or updated the field ID is memo, you read it right; the custom or modified description becomes memo at the line level.
