@matt3c Setting new customer's to taxable by default is an option in Avalara general set up. "Default Customers to Taxable" You can pick "new and existing", "only new" and "only existing" or leave it blank. @ In the Tax Calculation setup for Avalara there is a check box for "Disable Tax Calculation for Sales Orders". You may want to check (verify that it's not checked) that. Also you need to setup the all the tax nexus using the Avalara console on their web-site. Their PS group was great helping us get set up. status.avalara.com is a page you'll want to put in favorites and you can subscribe to updates. That's how I got that email.
