@mg2017: i’m attempting a similar workflow where pen signed PODs (typically just a copy of the invoice is scanned > OCR > attached to invoice record in netsuite (preferably stored in google drive)

hey Matt!
interested in knowing more about how you guys use ORC...can you tell me what your process is? how does the PO come, how do you scan it and how does the bill get generated...

Hi Well that’s the big question at the moment. Our customers sign a duplicated copy of the invoice and keep a copy. My plan is to scan the signed invoice, store in Google Drive (NetSuite’s storage is too expensive and too hard to access for most users) and attach to the invoice transaction record. I have trialled Celigo’s Google Drive connector and worked as well as expected to link a PDF stored on Google Drive with the invoice transaction record, although it doesn’t support Team Drives yet. The key for us at least is automation. I have been trawling for tools that will take a scanned/searchable PDF and rename the PDF to “InvoiceNumber.pdf” (e.g. IN20591.pdf) based on a certain zone on the PDF. So far for Mac (no Windows PCs in our office), I have come up with nothing.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a proper document flow/management solution at SuiteWorld but I have struggled to come across anything.
