Hey all — we're shutting down our NetSuite account (~9 years of data). Need a full backup with the ability to search and view documents (invoices, SOs, etc.) after decommission. Anyone done this? Custom API extraction vs third-party tools — what worked and what didn't? Especially curious about bulk PDF export of transactions. Any recommendations appreciated!

I'd reach out to NetSuite. They offer read-only access to an archive.

Also yes NetSuite offers a “care taker” account which is view only for about 40% of the price

JDBC sync to a database, you can extract pretty much all the tables.
But it will be hard to understand and do the joins without a technical person in your team. The above options are better. Until you end up migrating to a different application altogether.

Gurus Solutions has a nice pre built data archive for NetSuite with built in BI reporting and it's cheaper than NetSuites caretaker license. I'd be happy to connect you with them if you want.
