Hey Folks, I'm starting a cleanup project for Reports and Saved Searches in-house, there's a lot of dupes. Below is what I'm thinking: 1.Run a full list to find last run / last modified, sort by oldest and consider deleting. Send a comms to give a deadline date before they officially removed. 2. Check if employee is inactive, if yes and not last run in 12 months switch to be owned by admin account to remove from public view. Keep a monitor on this and consider deleting. 3. For those reports/searches that are duplicate names but have slight field difference create a new naming convention with the word MASTER, to differentiate the core report. If someone creates a dupe of this without renaming, it will be an easy spot. Has anyone any guidance of what worked best for them?

Hi Rachael, This is an issue within a lot of NetSuite Accounts. I would be weary of 2 things... 1) Some integrations rely on saved searches, please don't delete those! 2) Some reports / searches may only be used during auditing periods, and may have not been ran in a while.

This won't help you digging yourself out of the hole, but going forward using a prefix naming system and adding notes has helped us a lot in this area. We use a prefix like 'SYS - Search Name' for important searches that workflows, scripts, integrations, etc rely on. So even if it's old and potentially not executed in a while we know to think twice. We also use a prefix of 'AUD' for audit searches as described by Jacob. Between the note and prefix it can go a long way toward preventing yourself from being in the same position in another 3 years. Edit: maybe obvious but the note should be used to describe the purpose of the search, who uses it, what it solves, etc

Hey Guys, Great tips!Thankfully we do use those from an Admin side. The clean up is more from the end user side of house where they have been doing a lot of Save As but not changing the core names just the Report Id 🫠
