@KevinJ of Kansas i'm pretty sure it was netsuite, but i cannot be 100% certain. i started somewhere new and they are already on 19.2 and the workflow that referenced it now quit working. timing coincided with release. i saw the criteria referenced this field but i couldn't find the field so i figured it was that. i spoke with a friend who had it in his instance, but it turns out that was a custom field named exactly the same what shows on sales orders and cash sales. i'm now wondering if our workflow just 'worked' but shouldn't have and now whatever let it work is fixed/updated. so now we're looking into a new solution. thanks for responding!
