Hi All, When a Sales Order goes on backorder due to no stock, and later a Purchase Order is received for the same item, NetSuite automatically commits the received quantity to the backordered Sales Order. So far, this behavior is expected. However, the system does not automatically assign or reserve the received lots to that Sales Order, leaving the lots available for other Sales Orders. However, the system commits the quantity only at a summary level and does not automatically assign or reserve the received lot numbers to that Sales Order, which allows other Sales Orders to consume the same lot inventory. Is there any standard NetSuite feature that can reserve the committed quantity at the lot level for the same backordered Sales Order, so that those lots cannot be used by other Sales Orders? Or is custom scripting or automation the only option to achieve this? Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't seen any feature that reserves stock at bin or lot level. So it has to be a customization. In fact we did one for a client but that was more on the bin level.
