I find Claude Code pretty good as well. As long as I remember it's not going to nail anything on the first try. It's an iterative process. My process kind of works like this:
• Submit initial prompt, first prompt always includes something like "ask any clarifying questions before you begin."
• CC writes the code
• I review the code
• I ask CC for an objective review of the code it just wrote
• I ask it to implement some changes it suggests
• Request changes I want as needed to get where I want it.
it's kind of like pair programming with CC at the keyboard. It's never perfect the first time, but explaining in english what I want is much faster than typing it all myself.
