Hi all, what's your mileage on all the new AI programming tools. I have to admit, I'm not convinced yet. I've been experimenting with "vibe coding" in my hobby projects but it reminds me of the mess the graphical template editors make of code. Has anyone found a stable / viable use case yet?

I find Claude Code pretty good as well. As long as I remember it's not going to nail anything on the first try. It's an iterative process. My process kind of works like this: • Submit initial prompt, first prompt always includes something like "ask any clarifying questions before you begin." • CC writes the code • I review the code • I ask CC for an objective review of the code it just wrote • I ask it to implement some changes it suggests • Request changes I want as needed to get where I want it. it's kind of like pair programming with CC at the keyboard. It's never perfect the first time, but explaining in english what I want is much faster than typing it all myself.
