How do you link credit card transactions to the employee? Currently we enter the employee's name as the reference # and Vendor as the vendor. Is there a better way?

Are you using the name field, like on a journal entry?

I checked the form settings, I don't see a Name field at the line level. In a saved search, "Name" pulls the vendor field.
The ask is to produce a report with both expense reports & credit card transactions related to an employee. However, the 2 transactions use different fields. I can produce this with complex formulas, but also interested in hearing if their is a correct way to associate credit card transactions to the employee - or a different way to pull a report with both expense reports & credit card transactions for an employee.

Do you have a screencap of what you see?
In my history, we had to use formulas to combine bills/journal entries to get a singular name reference because of how main line works between the two transactions.
Likely it's the same here.. case when null then (other tx name field) else name

Enter an expense report for the employee but mark the expense as using the corporate card which is the credit card account

@MGBC This might be the way... Curious, what would credit card transactions be used for then? Expenses on a credit card not directly tied to an employee?

Yes when you pay for an expense to a vendor via credit card Honestly I don't love the CC transaction it doesn't follow the normal flow most people prefer that puts all transactions into A/P then you enter a payment that aligns with paying the CC bill
