So….wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them. The last time I attended SW in person (2019) my email address was slightly different to what it is now (still works, just as an alias on my new account). I occasionally get random marketing emails sent to the old address from new companies, so I know at least one company at SW sold my info and got me on some list, as that’s pretty much the only place I ever gave it out. Just last week I got TWO emails from companies (“Emburse” and “Tipalti”) thanking me for chatting with them in Vegas at SW 2021…..which I didn’t go to. Both emails going to my old address. Is NetSuite selling my old info or something? This is highly irritating.

If you talked to them last year maybe they just used a merge of last year attendees and this years attendees for an email campaign?

I definitely never talked to “Emburse”. Also I get random emails from companies that aren’t from any SW.
I hate that my info got sold, it’s really crappy that a company at SW would do that
When I demand that they tell me where they got it they go silent. Or lie. I had one say “we called and your receptionist provided it”. We all work remotely. There is no receptionist.

I received one from Avid thank me for stopping by the stand (but I wasn't in Vegas).

Same I got one from Tipalti today. I'm pretty sure NetSuite passed on my contact details because I did give them to any other vendor.

it’s total BS.
responses from two of the companies:
five more spams today
k
weird, I was actually at suite world and didn't get them

Yes - your emails are available to sponsors (depending on the level of the sponsor)

it’s BS to be honest. Clear violation of anti-spam guidelines.
I got less spam when I DID go and actually scanned my badge at booths. This time I wasn’t even there.

😞 I totally hear ya!
