How can I check how much tax is applicable on an item without creating a SO?

This has nothing to do with SuiteScript. It's a general question hence I am asking here.

it is very quick way to use script. once you can check tax for your required item very easily

I don't follow - I am interested in the "how" either via UI or SuiteScript (as you say so)
