To be fair, I would accept a definition of a developer as a mechanism that turns natural language into formal ones. I am a developer, and any confidence that we do this in a precise way now is misplaced. We already work for billion dollar companies. If the argument is that AI is not yet perfect or will never be perfect, I suspect our popcorn consumption will remain flat.
