Hi guys. I'm new here. Also new to Netsuite. I'm a developer whos been granted access to my companies netsuite account with a view to picking up some development in the future and just yesterday started teaching myself using the SDF. I'm new to Netsuite but not new to ERP. My previous company was a NAV/Business Central partner so quite adept at developing extensions for Business Central so part of my learning curve is trying to understand the differences between these two systems. Yesterday I managed to get the suitecloud cli up and running in WSL but I could only manage this by using the
account:setup:ci
flag. Wondering if others using SDF found the same issues? Also please forgive me if I have some noob questions surrounding the object types (Records I think are equatable to Tables in the NAV/BC world, but not sure what Lists and Segments are yet)

I would advice against using SDF at the start. You should manually upload the files, create the script and deployment records. This will give you the idea of how things work. This is what I used to tell my team. Learn the basics first before using the tools.

100 percent agreed to Nick, Once you get a good hands on, how things work here, You can start with Suitecloud IDE plugin for VS code or Webstorm, that would be much easier than CLI.

In terms of using WSL, yes, the best and easiest way is to use the ci flag ,
Check out my repo, I have some pre-configured npm scripts and GitHub actions for deploying made easy and using GitHub https://github.com/gbs4ever/suitecloud_project?tab=readme-ov-file
