hello! does anyone have any troubleshooting tips for using suiteapprovals suiteapp delegation authority? i've checked the delegate approval checkbox, set the start and end date, and selected the delegate approver but its still not working. are there any additional settings that need to be enabled?

so, the way it works is that the approver is still set the same on the record pending approval and a secondary approver is added (delegate). Is the delegate getting email notifications? You could go check their employee record and look at communication to determine that.

thank you! so the next approver will still stay the original person, but the delegated approver will be able to approve the record? when i was testing as the delegate approver I did get an email, but i wasn't connecting that I had an approval button to approve anywhere

Yeah the delegate should get the button. AND there should be a delegate approver field somewhere on the record but this is not consistent as it is a script generated field just like the SAS next approver field

ahhh that might be part of my problem.. i do not have a delegate approver field on the PO record nor can i find it on the form customization for it to be exposed. is that something i would need to get scripted?

Suiteapprovals should already do this.
