I'm having issues with some of my users defaulting to different transaction list views and sublist views, and then there is confusion about the different info that gets shown by default. This leads to different interpretations about dates (for example someone's list view might be showing promise date, and someone else's doesn't, and so the at-a-glance info about an order is interpreted differently). Is there a way to force the list/sublist to a particular view every time that the user loads? I have customized the menu paths for certain transaction types to show a particular view, but if a user is swapping back and forth between certain sublist views, this changes what they see when they load up a new record.

I don’t believe this is possible other than strictly managing the access of the list views. Which may be a nightmare NetSuite tries to retain your last selected list views so next time you visit the list it is what you saw last time Kind of a double edged sword for users who don’t understand what they are clicking on

That's what I was afraid of. I understand why it is the way it is, but telling users "sorry it's out of my control why don't you try to use the system better" is not generally successful 😆

You made an oopsie, and now you have to drink out of a sippy cup (you only get one sublist view and you're restricted to that) seems very fair to me. When they demonstrate they are responsible adults then they can have a glass full of milk on the couch. 😆

@James Morris Can I give them only one sublist view???? OMG that would be a dream!! We have a few views enabled by bundles that I cannot edit, and I need to rely on users being technologically literate which... is... fun...
j
@Emily S yes, you can restrict their list view, sublist view, and dashboard view on the role:
it's possible there's some gotchas if you really get in the weeds on it, but I'm fairly certain I've used this for your exact use case a number of years back

holy crap 🤯
