Hi! How should I handle the File Cabinet folder? Everyone needs access to the script folder, but there are lots of things users shouldn’t see. Is there a way to control that that I might be missing?

Use Groups and Restrict the folder to a group. You can also restrict a folder to D/L/C
l
Great! I’ll look into it.

Team just added restrictions on our folders. For existing files/folders adding a restriction on a parent folder does not apply that restriction to sub-folders or their contents. The restriction has to be applied to each folder or else they are still visible.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve seen. I was looking for a way to let the user see and choose only from a specific selection of folders that I allow them to. However, if I restrict the Script folder, the script throws an error when executed because it can’t access the Script folder for the .js files and so on. Will keep looking

Yep same here. We just un-restricted those so everything would keep working in the short term. Have not found a better solution.

I've had the best luck using 3rd party file storage.
then integrate to NetSuite
Some, I forget which (Box?) have their own connectors
NetSuite isn't very well suited for document storage, though it's gotten better over the years. It runs into issues when your company uses a lot of rendered PDFs images, or other heavy filetypes, or a lot of gated permissions. They didn't really take HR confidentiality into account either.
