Job Purpose
Assist in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT application systems that support the organizations' Visual Manufacturing environments. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all SQL Servers and associated file servers. This includes troubleshooting applications and software for all internal customers, such as operations, development, and other business units. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
Duties and Responsibility
Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases including routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Support all internal customer issues dealing with the Visual environment.
Manage documentation of processes, change orders, testing and results for Visual. Maintain documentation library.
Support and manage additional corporate systems which are integrated with Visual such as Visual Global Financials.
Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance.
Liaise with external IT vendor for applications, project implementation, systems enhancement and maintenance.
Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Special projects as requested.
Assist in the prioritization, scheduling, and administration of all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
