Hi, my company is still on legacy rec rec. So we use rev rec schedule/templates and that gets applied on the Sales Orders and then when the invoice is created the rev rec schedule gets assigned to the line item and created. We were wondering if there is a way to create a rev rec schedule that can be triggered manually to recognize revenue and not set on a "schedule".

You can trigger revenue manually, but just not through the usual rev rec schedule. You’d either create a manual rev rec journal entry or change the schedule type to “Manual” if that option’s available in your setup. That way, you decide when to recognize revenue instead of letting it follow the preset timing. If you’re doing this often though, ARM might be worth checking out , as it handles manual and event-based recognition much better.

Yeah, we are eventually going to ARM or RM, along with SuiteBilling, but those projects have never got the attention that it has needed. I don't think of legacy rev rec there is an option for a manual rev rec schedule. I can delay them as far out as possible, but I don't think there is a trigger for it to be processed whenever.
