Just enabled the inventory status in our account and tried fulfilling an item which is of type Assembly - but get the error: '*Not enough inventory is available for the following inventory detail line - item: X- Bin Number X Inventory Status: Good.* Any ideas why this would be? The Bin has plenty of quantities on hand and is available with Good status.

What's the available qty? Do you have any item qty committed?

Use the Inventory Balance saved search type to look at all your attributes. This can help you identify what's there. Additionally, sometimes a deleted transactions in the past can cause this error - for example, one attribute has a negative balance locking up the other inventory.

Available Qty is 20, On Hand is 27. I've not used the Inventory Balance search so thanks for the pointer
I've got a second assembly item on another order that produces the same error. Looking at this item in the inventory balance search returns loads of rows - I'm guessing these are from transactions. But I did notice that there were some negative on hand in there and they tend not to have inventory numbers against them. Might this cause the issue?

the negatives may be causing the issue. They can lock up inventory at times.
They'll impact the overall on hand/available quantity which the check is done against when you try to execute the transaction

So you think the system thinks there's simply not enough inventory? The balance shows the total as positive, 40.

If an item inactive? I've seen wonky stuff with Inv adjustments and such on inactive items.

Defo is not inactive, but like Rich said - it did have a negative on hand quantity at one stage, but currently this item is in stock, both On Hand and Available
