Seems so silly but I am pulling out my hair with this. We have drag and drop enabled and has been working fine. Added a new role and the rights all align with what is needed; however, drag and drop doesn't work on view or edit. Works fine on create. Error message is “insufficient permissions”. Users can add files to that folder in the file cabinet. All file drag and drop custom records in bundle are full access. Custom transaction has full rights. Documents and files has full rights. Any thoughts?
Here are the rights I setup. Want to scale down once I get it working but full for now.

Shooting in the dark… role have custom records permissions?
n
Yep
Notes Sublist is required permission and also notes sublist is required to be visible on the form.

Thanks for digging. I found that article as well and they have notes edit permission. Weird part is I get the error message but the file gets added to the file cabinet but not on the record. User CAN manually attach a file to that same folder.
Track Messages > Edit
did the trick

glad you found it! quite the headache.
Lists, Track Messages, Allows viewing and editing of the Message record.
Wish that was named better

its weird. In the UI, I could see files and attach files without that permission. Track Messages just gave them the ability to see emails sent.
haha
