We are looking at not renewing a module from our account. It is the "NetSuite Contract Renewals" or "SWV Contracts Renewals Module" to be specific. Has anyone not renewed a module like this before? It shows in our system like a managed bundle. Our main concern is that the bundle will be removed and we lose all the data associated with custom fields and records (I feel like this is unlikely). Or if they just stop managing it and leave it there to become obsolete.

I've found that removing modules conveniently results in a smaller discount that results in exactly the same price as you were already paying before - before you commit to it - find out if removing it will actually result in a price decrease.
That said - inactivating features in your account results in dead/uneditable records typically. However - I'm unsure of how that works with regards to bundles.

We added a new module and scheduled to remove this one when we renewed for a multi-year term (NetSuite just put the end to that last week). So the discounting is all worked out already. We just didn't get all the work done on our end to get the system ready for it to go away (it's been one of those years, haha).

If the bundle requires the license management bundle, it should be ok and all the scripts just won't fire off.
Probably easier to submit a case to netsuite and ask.

Kevin is right to suggest an ask. One of my old clients had to get netsuite to put into writing that they wouldnt lose data in custom records from a netsuite module they stopped paying for
s
my prior company stopped renewing the contract renewals module, but we left it installed as we didnt want to lose all of the data
l
@SuiteReg that is what we are hoping to do. So as long as we don't uninstall it, all the data will remain intact? We never really used it the way it is meant to, so if the scripts stop firing or anything like that we would be fine. It is more the data and custom fields/records we are concerned about.

i would still double check with netsuite to make sure, but that was the case for my last company
