I didn't think to put a Migration Vendor on each line of my historic JE uploads for open AP. Since JE's can't be updated at the line level, it seems my only option is to reupload and overwrite the JE for each period - not a huge deal, but any alternative to this? We uploaded two years of historic data so it would be convenient to not have the risk of reuploading each period

Why can’t JE be updated by line?
k
Can't csv update by line
There's no line id to map to

Create a saved search and include the Line ID. Export to Excel and add the name on the line with the AP and AR vendor/customer name included. Then, do an update import. That should clear out the issue.
k
Right, but you are overwriting the entire sublist when you do that, so any Bank recs competed will have to be retouched

Yeah, my goal is to not have to overwrite the whole sublist and instead only update the missing values, but seems that is still not an option - no big, just curious if there was another way other than overwriting the entire sublist
p
Gotcha, I didn’t realize that my suggestion would override a completed bank rec
k
It would also blow up any applications - but in this case, it's unlikely any applications had been made.
p
If this is a generic import vendor, it should only impact one application that nets to zero. Even with the bank rec, shouldn’t this only impact the opening bank rec and maybe the first month? I guess it depends on how long it has been since the implementation
n
You can test the JE import. Previously I have updated a single line value.
k
Right, but in doing that, it completely drops the lines and readds them
