Has anyone ever run into an issue where you're unable to reset a user's password or reset security questions? Every time I try, I have to contact an admin from a prior company - please advise!
k
Can you have the admin from the prior company uncheck the access box so they don't have access to more than 1 NS account?
m
I think the same email address has a login on a different instance of NS
k
Also- why would your user have access to multiple NS accounts and have you resetting their password for them?
Generally, that's something that happens to consultants like me, and I'd never have a client engage in resetting my password.

as a parttime freelancer I also face the same issue when do consulting, I never ask clients to change my passwords tell them to leave it blank and let the global access table take care of it (ie my existing profile in the global access table). Few days ago I helped someone with same issues - see my suggestions: mescalante  [6:19 PM] Hi Sam, I hope you are doing well. Sorry to bother you directly, but I know you might be able to give me some direction. We have been acquired by another company that is also using Netsuite. We have users with access to both NS systems and once in a while they forget their password and their security questions. They cannot reset it themselves. When try to reset their password, Netsuite doesn't let us since they have multiple accounts. • What options do we have to help them reset their password? I will appreciate your help. Sam-I-Am  [11:27 PM] Remove their access from all/ both systems it will wipe out the central access table. Then give them access to one system and let them login and setup their security questions in the first instance. Once done give them access to other instances, it will inherit the already set credentials from first instance. A bit convoluted but should work.

Yeah, but if you're acting as a freelancer, I'd probably be inclined to use a personal email instead of my work email for that login.
s
that's what I do man
k
in which case you'd still be able to reset your own password.
(assuming your freelancer has a minimum level of experience on NetSuite)

which is tied to my to 2 of my dev accounts ( grand fathered) - so I have total control even clients messes up my account on their instance
note admin accounts need 2FA
