I'm stumped on this one...I have a custom role that cannot access a list of Custom Records, even though I've given them the permission to do so (via the role permission for that custom record type). When I try to navigate in that role to a list of the custom records (or a search of them), I see a page that just says `Notice You do not have privileges to view this page`

If I change the Custom Record setup for Access Type to "No Permission Required", I can access it in that role.

And using the "Use Permission List" option works as well. Hmm.

Use permission list is the right way for that

Otherwise it uses the custom record permisson

Well, the issue is that I was trying to get it to use the Custom Record Permission, but couldn't

the custom record permission is global to all custom records - not the custom record type

Yea I tried both the general Custom Record permission as well as the permission specific to the custom record type itself, no combination allowed me to give access that way
