Hey All, I have an issue that is baffling me. When I run a balance sheet report, my date filters on the bottom of the report are different depending on my role that i run it as. For example, when i run as administrator I can only choose from a list of periods (i think that's what they are). However, when a run a a bookkeeper role, I have an as of date that will allow me to input a specific date. Naturally, the these 2 reports return different values. See the screen shots below. thanks.

Yes I've seen this before. Let me find a link on how to fix this
I guess this setting can vary based on role, but here it is

@Marc Reicher Thanks Marc, I'll take a look at that!
@Marc Reicher That worked! That's a really dangerous setting. Everyone needs to be aligned or the numbers dont match up. This was a huge help, thanks!

Glad it worked. I've dealt with this confusion many times before. My company's app (FloQast) pulls in GL balances from NetSuite based on accounting period, and we often get support tickets from NetSuite users who look at the data by date in NetSuite. The funny thing is that the balances really should be the same. However, our app sometimes ends up revealing that someone is posting journal entries with a transaction date outside of the accounting period date range

Interesting... Yeah we didn't understand why period "Dec 2020" would have diff results than "12/31/2020" .

Yeah the results should be the same in most cases. There are really only two things that might cause a difference: 1. An adjustment period that ends on 12/31. Transactions in that period may not be included in the "Dec 2020" filter 2. Transactions with a date outside of the accounting period date range (e.g. a transaction might get booked to the "Dec 2020" accounting period with a "1/1/2021" transaction date)
