the item is set up as a Non-inventory Item for Resale

Are you sure it's a resale item and not sale?

and it has a preferred vendor and purchase price set for that vendor

ok i tested wth an inventory item and i'm seeing the same problem - it doesn't come over onto the PO

so i'm guessing it's an issue w/ something on the SO, or the setup, not the item itself

was the item added to the SO via an edit?

right now there are no associated POs or anything to the SO

i'm trying to click the "Drop Ship PO" link on the line, which brings up the DS PO form, but nothing is on it

i thought maybe the form was screwed up but I switched the accounting pref to the standard (native) ds po form, and that didn't help anything

i'm definitely missing something, just not sure what

just throwing ideas, does your item exist in the SO subsidiary?

good thinking, yes - subsidiary on items match SO sub

i turned off all scripts and workflows for POs and see the same issue

<@U29JEQVL6> maybe i'm late, i managed to ask my colleague, and from the convoi think you need to play with preferred vendor on the item record to utilise the dropship

hmm, i do have a preferred vendor set in this case <@UHFES4MQQ>

<@U29JEQVL6> just to confirm, on the item record subtab there is a subsidiary, a vendor, preferred check true and a price?
Also preferred vendor subsidiary and item subsidiary matches right?
Item Dropship expense account is filled in?
I also see there is a defined base price, on the sample that's working for me but not sure it matters
also perhaps role and permissions? just in case you're not using admin?

also try the preferred vendor in base currency of the subsidiary first perhaps?

I was thinking it could be because the item was added to an existing SO, which is already pending fulfilment. Read a suite answers article that suggested that makes things “different”, but I’m not online to check right now 

thank you both - i double checked on the above and tried a new SO with the noninventory item, no luck unfortunately :confused:

we have a case open w/ NetSuite support so hopefully will get a resolution soon, i'll try and update here when we find it

afaik non-inventory item does work in drop ship orders on our system, probably some config related issue, i'm just gonna rest your mind easy that non-inventory item afaik does work for dropship orders
