GL impact shows different VAT account on Sales Order, How can I Change the VAT account from the Sales Order to reflect the correct VAT account ?

GL impact posting comes from a Cash Sale or Invoice.

Hi Maal for the VAT accounts I'd look at Setup>Accounting>Taxes>Tax Type (as admin role). If you need to create a new account, set thos eup in Tax Control Acccounts.

Thank you blue. I can see only one VAT account listed under sales tax account. I want to change that account with something that is already there in system.

Hi Maal. The account is setup in the Tax Types page but by default only Tax Control Accounts can be selected there. In your case, I'd direct you to SuiteAnswer ID: 26436 I think this addresses your concern.

Thank you so much for this Blue. I can still not see the Account I want to use even though I can see other Accounts. It looks like the setup is wrongly done as the Tax account I want to change is listed on different country. I wanted to change to VAT sales on NL from VAT sales on GmbH, Is there a way to do that?

Hmm maybe it has something to do with the Nexus? I haven't tried setting it up under different countries but from what I remember you setup the nexus first per country. Maybe try editing the Account if there's a way to assign that to another country. Take note too of the Type seems like there are only certain types of accounts that show up in the Tax Control Account list.

Hi Maal. I tried it on my side. Can you check in Set Up Taxes if you've unchecked the ONLY USE TAX CONTROL ACCOUNTS ON TAX TYPES box for the country you're trying to fix? Seems like each country is in a different tab and you have to uncheck it per tab/country. I tried it on my side and I can now choose the account in the Tax Type. Also just to be sure check the account for any subsidiary restrictions.

Hi blue , Both Netherlands and Germany are on same subsidiary but different country. Since tax code applied on SO items are from Germany I unchecked on Germany tab to see if tax account from Netherlands can be selected. But I cannot see the account I want to choose. Am I missing anything?
