Has anyone used a workflow to set certain shipping address fields as mandatory during sales order entry?

I realize this can be done on the address form level, but we're using oneworld and would cause issues with other subsidiaries so I am looking at workflow. Specifically trying to set Addressee and Phone shipping address fields mandatory to solve the issue of these fields sometimes being left blank during order entry, causing an error with FedEx label integration during fulfillment.

Are you aware you can set fields at Form / Country level?

But can't restrict to a particular subsidiary which in my case would cause issues

I recall Workflows are not able to work with the Address lines individually. Maybe that’s changed. When I addressed my problem I have a saved search alert to the user to remind them they had missed a field. 

Interesting approach <@U01E037GJ84>. Do you have a workflow trigger the alert, or you just sending an email through the saved search?

I just used saved search email. Send on create to the creator. Now I’m wondering if you could usa a similar search to drive a WF pop up
