how can i stop the item rate on a purchase order from defaulting to the item's selling price, if there is no purchase price set for the selected vendor?

Set price level to custom maybe? Just a thought here

<@U29JEQVL6> I have not found a way to do this, maybe a script is necessary.  This has burned us when an unscrupulous vendor decides to charge the wrong price on the PO.  I'd MUCH rather that the PO price stays blank rather than NetSuite deciding to enter the selling price.

If you don't calculate from it, could you not leave the Base Price empty? If you do, it should pull from Supplier Price &gt; Purchase Price &gt; Last Purchase Price &gt; Base Price iirc

<@U01C54X268M> not sure what you mean but we don't want the selling price to be empty - we want to use it on Sales Orders e.g. and other such transactions - just don't want it impacting POs
