I have created a custom detailed report that I want to link to a custom summary report. However, the detailed report doesn't show up in the drop down list on the More Options tab for the summary report. What am I missing?

Is the summary report you want to use linked to the same audience?
(i'd try making it public)
also - try clearing your cache.

Fairly sure there's an "all" checkbox on one of the audience selections
been a while since I've pulled it up.
also - if you removed the drill down field that is automatically populated, that can create issues as well (for example the default amount column)

I was thinking different type of reports? But I also can't tell how to see what type of report the details started at originally

The way I typically ensure I don't have a problem is drill into the standard one - and then make my custom one from that
and then go and update the detail report mapping after that.

Yes, I tried that, and it is still not showing up
I think I need to do as you say above. Start off the summary I have and customize detail from there.
I am working from someone elses set up, so I don't know what their flow was.
