Hi, I'd like to create a role that is limited to certain subsidiaries, but at the same time I want the users to be able to list all employees across subsidiaries. But I do not want to give them access to all the data, so I cannot give the role the "ALLOW CROSS-SUBSIDIARY RECORD VIEWING" permission. They would need to be able to select an employee in a select-field, so a saved search that shows all employees isn't enough either. Is there any other way of granting access to all employees to a role?

Have you tried Do Not Restrict Employee Fields checkbox on the role?

Missed that 🤦‍♂️. I had already that checkbox filled, so users could already select any employee. So that part was already taken care of, the real requirement was to be able to see information about an employee, supervisor etc This is apparently not possible according to Netsuite. There is an enhancement filed for it though #686039 - Custom Role > Ability to View Employee Records Regardless of Subsidiary Restrictions (Allow Cross-Subsidiary Record Viewing is Disabled). I'll have to make due with creating a saved search that runs unrestricted with the employee information that they need.
