Hi netsuite gurus! Wondering if you have an idea how NetSuite handles custom products of clients and reflect it into an item record. Example, the company sells customized chair (assembly) where customers can dictate what is the material, what is the dimension, size, shape, design, cushion, etc. Based on those selections the quantity of components and the components itself changes. (E.g. if custom chair selected is wooden, then component is wooden. If the customer selects plastic as material then the component is plastic.)

@Sammy I would be interested to know how this will roll as Matrix Items and Bill of Material. Are there any common components which would form the base item. Then the material selection would be a Matrix option.

Yes there are common components but the components will be identified only after the customer selects the customized item they choose (size, material, design, etc)
