All of my licenses are currently in use. I have a user who has a custom role that is of Accounting Center Type. I want to grant him Admin access, but when i try to add Admin access, i get the new license request form. I assumed that since he already is using a license for his current role, that adding a new one is fine. What is the best way to handle this? thanks!

You probably have exceeded your license count by activating an inactive user.
or by someone reducing the number of available licenses.
s
but if that user already has a full access license role then error should not pop up. User can have multiple roles using only 1 license
j
when i look at billing information i see 31 licenses provisioned and 31 used
@Sam-I-Am that's what i though Sam

Unless you by editing it cause it to trigger an update and it is calculating 32.
So look at your active users and make sure it ties out to 31 employee records.
j
maybe i need to remove his access, then assign him Admin? Can NS be that dumb? How's that for a loaded question? lol
k
setup-> users/roles -> manage users.
No- that won't fix your issue
and it would likely lock the user out

Is the custom role based out of the Employee Center role? If yes, then assigning another role will require a GAU license as you may have exhausted all your ESS licenses by now.
j
@Mike the role is based out of the Accounting Center Role. I actually have 5 ESS licenses provisioned and none in use

@Sam-I-Am @KevinJ of Kansas Thanks for you input guys, much appreciated. Any other thoughts of how I can resolve this issue. MTW, most of my experience with NS is as a developer, so i'm trying to come up to speed quickly on the admin side.

Probably worth taking a stab at filing a support case, see what they say.
j
That's exactly what i was about to try, thanks
Dumb question: I have basic support and cant find the support case form anywhere. I know it used to be on the right side of the suiteAnswers page. Any idea where i can find it?
m
Nope not a dumb question, I've actually heard of the case of the 'missing' contact support online button before. Next option is to probably call/email your rep so they can file the case in your behalf ablobshrug

Strange. I'm trying to find out who my rep is now. FYI, when i go to the support page, i see this in the Account Center portlet
k
You have to have the netsuite support center role
Did you do a count on the number of active users and make sure it's less than or equal to 31?
