hi guys, anyone who has used the NetSuite Dunning Module, does it provide with the option to opt-out on a customer/invoice level?
j
I recently had a demo meeting about this bundle and I ended up creating my own custom solution and saving the monthly $600 I don't remember there being an option to opt-out but the main functionality we wanted to get out of it was easily built with what we already have
k
You should be able to hold dunning on a customer/invoice level.
It should be noted - you can only hold it an an invoice level if you are dunning at the invoice level.
k
Thank you JC and KevinJ! Thats really helpful information! How about email customization? I have heard that we don't have a lot of control on customizing the email that goes out with this module?
k
I'm not sure why you've heard that. You have a bunch of control
Of course- that requires knowledge of HTML
but still - it has quite a bit of flexibility
k
Is it the same level of control like we have for other email templates?
k
What I find to be the case is clients often over estimate their knowledge of their customer structure - and there are inconsistencies in how fields are filled out - and that is what poses the most challenges.
That said - workflow is typically cheaper if you have the right resources to do it - because you'll probably want someone who has set up dunning to help you configure it
I find that most clients don't really need the dunning bundle when it comes down to it- they can't really leverage what it brings to the table
Which is better reporting/analysis/multi lanaguge/subsidiary support in a consistent package.
k
I see! Thank you for the information Kevin!
k
As to your question - yes it's the same template system as for other email templates - the only thing to bear in mind is it is being accessed from a different method - so the field links require a little bit of additional understanding over just picking a field from a drop down
k
Sounds like the aging report combined with couple of MapReduce scripts could do the job!
k
Yeah - have to ask yourself what you are trying to accomplish - and whether it's worth it. You could write some relatively simple workflows for handling it too.
Depending on your needs.
k
Gotcha!
