09/08/2020, 10:57 AMan order incorrectly got sent and current period is closed. could we reverse it via JE and once stock is returned create return authorisation? correct process to correct this issue?

09/08/2020, 4:55 PMYou should be able to do an RMA in the current period, and allow the GL Impact to this the current period as well. Unless there is a specific reason that the GL Impact needs to be reversed in the Previous period, that's now closed, there shouldn't be a need to do a JE

09/08/2020, 4:56 PMEven then, since a JE is a posting transaction, NetSuite won't allow you to process the JE in the closed period. You can edit non-posting transactions in a closed period, but only if that feature is enabled, and the correct permissions are assigned to the role/user.

09/08/2020, 4:57 PMbottom line, the RMA will reverse the GL impact on it's own, no need for a JE. You can start the RMA prior to getting the stock returned. There will be a 'Receive' option on the RMA, for you to process an IR once you do get the stock back in.
