if a customer has a blank term does the credit limit matter? doesn't blank term indicate it's a cash customer? however, the customer can pay on terms if the transaction has been set to a term. Is this correct?

The term (or its absence) on the customer record is just a default since you can still override this on the transaction itself. With this, credit limit may still matter even if the term on the customer record is blank.

@Luis that makes sense - the thing I am not 100% sure is the credit limit. We have orders coming in from outside of NS as cash orders therefore the customer record in NS has no terms set. But customer also pay monthly lease fee therefore we have credit limit set. So in theory we should be able to raise invoices and set the term on it while NS will respect credit limit, meaning CL will not override terms?
