Just dumped a load of gshuigsdhguigsdhguisdhug in there, got to 10000, then it tells me off and truncates the value to the max, put it in lettercount.com and hey presto

you can see limits of fields by type (where applicable). Might be helpful for future use.

Just another example of how bad SuiteAnswers search function is, you search for Inline HTML length, custom field length anything relating to that, and it doesn't pop up at all 😄

Agreed. I thought I had it bookmarked from implementation...took me like 5 searches to find it again!

very true, and that was what I tried at first and couldn’t find anything related to the length of this type of field. Can’t even do a string search
