Hello anyone get this error before when setting up a new user.

Yes this I believe is a preference you can enable or disable

I've been trying to find where in the preferences this might live. It's definitely a "new" feature -- which I do appreciate. But my customers are NOT liking the wording of this....  No one wants to hear "compromised passwords" while shopping.

If anyone finds a checkbox or setting, please let me know.

ugh now we are getting users with this same issue

We have not been upgraded to 2025.2 yet so i wonder if it was an update earlier this week.

We have not been updated to 2025.2 yet either, but this sprouted up in the last week.

I’ve got a ticket in and NS is claiming this has been in place since 2020.  Which is obviously a lie since we are all just starting to see it now.

Good day. Please be informed that "Password is on a compromised password list" warning is an expected when the password used was found in an internal database of leaked passwords. Passwords have been leaked from compromised websites and may be in the hands of malicious actors. We strongly recommend that users check if they are using such passwords on other websites and change them immediately.
This behavior aligns with NetSuite's password protection documented in SuiteAnswers Article ID 69026: Creating a Strong Password:

"The password cannot be on a leaked password list. NetSuite checks the password upon submission, which may result in the password being rejected even if all other criteria are met. If this happens, you should consider changing the leaked passwords in other services you use."

"Password Requirements for Clients: Starting with version 2020.1, the following requirements apply to client passwords: 
The minimum password length for clients is eight characters. 
Easy-to-guess or potentially compromised passwords are prohibited."
