Getting the "Something went wrong when trying to save credentials. Contact support." Moved to a new laptop. Fresh WebStorm. Fresh SDF Plugin 2024.1 (yeah, I know ) Tried both: Browser based and adding TBA tokens
a
@NickSuite Windows? This problem should be solved in a newer version of plugin!
n
The old version works fine on the old laptop. Still working. The version is not the issue.
yes, windows.
a
The problem is the windows deprecating some features which were used in the plugin.
Probably you have an older version of windows in older laptop?
n
Windows 11 in both. But I believe update version is different. Which Windows update causes this issue?
s
are you using windows or wsl ?
n
Windows
@Ali Syed (NS DevTools QA) The Windows version on both of the laptops are same. 24H2 Build 26100.6584
a
But the latest version worked for you no?
n
It did but why the older version is causing issue saving tokens? The newer version refreshes token EVERY DAY
a
There has been announcements staing that older versions will stop working, there are many reasons (One of them i shared with you was that there were some OS commands used to retrieved some properties and windows started retiring those) Thats why in newer version we deprecated those commands. Is it asking you to enter your password everyday? (It shouldn't everyday)
n
It is not asking for password but to refresh the token.
My issue is still unresolved. Old plugin works fine on old laptop, but doesn't work on the new one. Same OS, same build version, same WS version.
a
your account is on which version?
n
Checking
It is 2025.1
a
If you still want 2024.1 to work, I will not be able to help much. You can open a NS issue, but I can't guarantee the resolution. 2025.1 version works fine, the refresh should be every 2 days, that will happen when you get on 2025.2 version of Netsuite.
n
It's not an NS issue. It's the plugin issue. The plugin is not able to save any credentials.
a
Sorry I am confused, are we talking about a new issue here? Previously you didn't mention any issue about credentials not saved in 2025.1 version of plugin. Can you tell me what's happening? And any error screenshots?
In the DM, you mentioned the new plugin works.
n
I am talking about issue with 2024.1
a
2024.1 is a deprecated version. That's what I mentioned before. We had known problems with it and I mentioned one of the causes being some features deprecated by windows. (You have same version of windows where it works and where it doesn't, so not sure what's happening there) But 2024.1 is not a supported version, so I can't debug that.
n
Got it. Thanks for the help though @Ali Syed (NS DevTools QA)
a
No problem, and apologies for not being able to provide a solution for your use case!
n
I understand. I have updated the plugin to the latest version.
