I've got a custom segment that shows up correctly in the expenses sublist on on the standard forms for POs and VBs but I can't get it to show up on custom forms, even when the field is checked in the sublist fields on the custom forms. Could anyone please help me troubleshoot?

I had to check the purchase item and expense checkbox under transaction columns under application & sourcing
Then go to the form and customize the form to show the field
Lastly make sure to check the permissions of the custom segment that your role is added under permissions
g
Thanks, I'll check those. I'm administrator so they should at least show up for me.
m
And confirm the default access
I always set to view as default

Does GL Impact matter?
I thought it did the other day when I got a temporary test segment I'd created to show up, but then I couldn't reproduce it after I'd deleted the test segment >.<
They're checked, still not showing up on the custom form.
View is the default
Then on the custom form, the field is checked on the sublist fields.
I've compared it to other segments that do show up and they look the same to me...
The weird thing is it shows up just fine on the Standard Purchase Order form...

Oh bizarre, I compared the XML for the two forms and in the standard one it's set to visible, and in the custom one it's not, even though in the UI it shows both as checked for the "show" column...

I’m the form are you looking at screen field > expenses Or Sublist fields
g
sublist fields
Wait what? Oh NetSuite, how do I love thee, let me count the ways....
@MGBC you are a true master!
Why wouldn't they put this under sublist fields?!
they should have all the sublists there.
m
Haha I know. It’s so dumb
The Sublist field is only the items Sublist
They bury the expenses Sublist fields in a different tab
g
a subtab on a different tab
a different tab that's otherwise for header level fields!
