Hi everyone, We have multi location turned on for inventory. We noticed a lot of our items (over 1000+) in different locations have incorrect Avg Cost which is affecting the overall Avg Cost for the item. We found the root cause as to why the avg cost was wrong, but now we have to update the avg cost per location. I was planning on doing a csv import for inventory worksheet for each location with the correct qty on hand and new value (which would fix the avg cost for that location: New Value/qty on hand = new avg cost). My question is, because it's a lot of items I'm editing, does it matter when I perform he worksheet? I know there's First in Day or Last in Day, but I thought that had to do with GL impact not necessarily when the worksheet will actually post. I could be totally wrong with that last part. I was planning on performing the import during off peak hours that way it won't cause any issues. Am I being too scared to just do it now?

Well, you're right to be cautious. The timing is less important for posting the worksheet itself. It matters more for stopping transactions while you're updating. First/Last in Day controls the GL impact timing, not when the worksheet processes. Do the updates during off-peak times to avoid interference with sales or receipts that might create timing conflicts.
