Yeah, it is definitely lacking in the looks department. There is a company called Newgen that created a custom portal which uses saved searches. I demoed it and found it looks much better than what netsuite offers.

FYI in 2008 I did ported NS customer portal to Drupal and Joomla CMS using SOAP and PHP Toolkit. I published as a opensource code in the community forum, guess what happened NS banned me LOL - because it was better looking and had more feature for that time. netsuite
