We are currently running the old customer center via Site Builder. We don't do online retailing, we only use it for our customers to retrieve invoices, reports, and other documents and for case management. We believe we know that the version we are running now is not a secure vehicle for our customers to submit cases (our customers are banks, so they may be sending information that includes sensitive data). Is that a correct assumption? Is there a secure option when it comes to receiving cases from external sources?

Site Builder is definitely not secure enough for bank-level data. You're right to be concerned. Consider moving to SuiteCommerce Advanced with proper SSL and encryption, or use a secure third-party case management system that integrates with NetSuite via API. Banks need proper data encryption and compliance controls that Site Builder just doesn't provide.

I can't make an assessment one way or the other about whether SB will meet security standards of banks, but I will comment that our latest product, SuiteCommerce MyAccount, is probably a better fit than SCA if you're not doing ecommerce
