If we have a US-based SCA site and want to add a Canadian version of the same site, do we have to list our prices in Canadian dollars?
s
Not necessarily, but it depends on what you mean by "Canadian version". What's Canadian about it?
m
Basically, we’re trying to assess our options because we began using AvaTax but ran into some issues with our Canadian customers. We figure this is why many sites have a “separate site” for different countries, and were just curious as to what it would entail to make that happen. Alternatively, we may just need to find a way to update the
taxitem
field upon an address change in the frontend. Not sure if you have any resources that would help me out if we pursue that path?
s
I know we have some documentation on multi-lang and multi-curr but I am not sure it offers an assessment on options. I do believe that the recommended route is having a separate site -- this can help with SEO, for example. I myself can't really offer a lot of advice as I can really only approach this from a theoretical POV, sorry

Got it. Thanks, I appreciate the response!
