Has anyone else lost strikethrough functionality on their matrix items? Our non-matrix items are still showing strikethrough but not our matrix.
@Steve Goldberg I see that the strikethrough article was updated a few days ago - https://netsuite.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/96470/kw/Strike-Through%20Pricing. Do you know if the article was just updated to add the text "Strikethrough pricing is not available on matrix items"? We have had strikethrough pricing on matrix items since strikethrough pricing went live back in October or November I believe, but it just broke a few days ago and we are scrambling. Using quantity pricing as a workaround has not been a good solution.

I saw your question and that this page has been updated, but I don't know the details of it
I will ask around and see what I can find out because I am also somewhat confused by this.
OK, so the short answer is that it wasn't designed to operate with matrix items and that it requires a significant amount of work to do so. There is enhancement request already in the system (628296) which you can ask to vote up, if you wish
As a workaround, I can't really advise as I don't know exactly why this is a problem. However, I did write this a while ago (which you'll note uses volume pricing): https://developers.suitecommerce.com/add-savings-amounts-for-quantity-pricing.html. Perhaps there's a way you can adapt it to work without volume pricing
You may have problems though, because one thing I do recall is that it's not possible to get the current price of the item based on the selected item options and I believe I have already requested this to be added to the extensibility layer

@Steve Goldberg I appreciate you getting back to me. We weren't fans of using quantity pricing because it's more labor for our Buying team when entering products. Additionally, when we switched over to SC strikethrough functionality from quantity pricing it caused huge issues at POS because the system was still trying to look at these quantity pricing levels and now the new levels.
We actually didn't have any issues with current price when we used quantity pricing because we just our current price to be quantity zero and then the new "sale price" to be quantity >1.

We actually didn't have any issues with current price
I meant from a 'trying to write a custom extension for this' perspective ... is that what you meant?

oh ok, I understand. we will upvote this enhancement and we actually have a decent amount of details about the challenges caused by utilizing quantity pricing as a workaround. Is there anyone in addition to NS Support we could pass these details along to to help this enhancement get fast-tracked?
s
Afraid not. I would also temper your expectations about how soon we may implement it. My recommendation is that you seek a customisation that works for you. If you urgently need something done then I would reach out to professional services.

Appreciate the information.
