If you have a good habbit of skimming through code then it will be easy to learn most of the stuff out of the SCA core codebase. Apart from this, get a good understanding of Backbone view, model, collection, collection view, router, form, validation etc, AMD module pattern with requirejs and almondjs, and SuiteScript offcourse.

Also don't forget I have a lot of content on developers.suitecommerce.com
