Hi! I once was shown a way to bypass the credit card screen and go straight to the order confirmation page for testing things like GTM variables and I can't for the life of me find that in my notes anywhere. Does anyone know how this is done?
k
@Kirk Taylor, not 100% but if you have a payment processor I don’t think you can proceed through checkout with out payment details. I know payment processors provide mock CC#’s for test orders, not sure if it’s limited to sandbox or not.
k
Right... We are trying to do some testing and using solupay but the test credentials are not set up in sandbox yet. There used to be a way to go to the order confirmation page without placing an order and like using a fake order confirmation number or something, so it never really actually creates a sales order.... Its been so long I just cant remember. I think i was using it when Denali came out so it might not even be a thing any more
k
I assume you’re testing in Production?
k
Sandbox
We just did a refresh so solupay test creds are not set up yet and its sunday so probably cant get the access we need today
k
For CC test order in SB I always use Type: Visa CC#: 4111 1111 1111 1111 ex: 1/21
k
Yes, me too, but the gateway is trying to use production creds on a sandbox account so we are getting a 401 gateway error

I’ve worked on accounts that do not collect payments, the shopping tab on the website setup record defines payments page options.
k
Ahhh Great Idea, thanks
k
They didn’t have a payment processor enabled though, so I can’t be too sure how this setup will work for you.

I did something similar and it seems to work.
I set up an item with a price of 0.00 and free shipping and then checked the option to hide payment if order total equals 0
Thanks for the help!

Nice glad to hear

@Kirk Taylor If the problem is entering the credit card info then try using invoice as a payment method. Another option would be to set the item price to $0.00 and enable the configuration for "HIDE PAYMENT PAGE IF ORDER TOTAL EQUALS ZERO"
