We have just started factoring some invoices where we will receive 90% from the financier, then when our customer pays the financier the full amount they will remint the remaining 10% less fees. Seems we require a series of transactions that are not quite NS standard. Does anyone have a process for recording of Invoice factoring or a suiteapp?

i used to manage this with a second AR account for the factored invoices. Logic would then hinge off the AR account as to whether the invoice was factored or not. ie. could use the Account to drive the pdf template to ensure bank details provided to customer were in line with financier requirementss Splitting the AR account helped with the monthly rec (which was part of the arrangements) and forced us to transfer funds paid direct to us instead of to the financier which kept things clean. in terms of accounting - the 90%/10% were just cash impact transactions, coded to the financier account set up as a bank account in Netsuite. AR transactions would function as normal
